yeah, Bale’s Batman voice is horrendous. I still think this was a fine film, but people are talking about it as if it is the greatest thing since Citizen Kane. It’s not.

For example, right now it is sitting at #1 on imdb’s top 250 movies of all time. Ahead of The Godfather, among others. Are you kidding me? It’s good, but not greatest ever good.

I had a hard time with the film. Hated Christian Bale’s Batman voice…truly awful. Also found two-faced plain silly. As MaT says, the Honk Kong thing was odd…and focused on so heavily at the beginning only to disappear mid-movie. I think the true fault of the film was being so hyped. I expected (just a bit) for it to change my life…because people had told me how amazing it was. At the end, I just had to pee real bad.

a very good movie…but not great.

Ledger owns this film. Two-Face arc poorly handled. Batman should never go to Hong Kong. Way too many different bad guys. More focus on Batman himself would have been nice. Heavyhanded use of illegal surveillance by Batman and Lucious was eye-rolling (so, Bush is totally like Batman, i guess?).

A really enjoyable film with an absolutely brilliant performance by Leger, but this isn’t the be all end all of movies

I can’t wait to see it. A good friend of mine and co-worker this summer assisted the art director and production designer while filming in Chicago. Glad to hear his claims are true.

Aaargh! The wife’s out of town this weekend (shooting Outpost Doom) and I’m alone with our 2-year-old daughter. Maybe I could lock her in a pet travel kennel while I sneak out to see The Dark Knight…

Oh, and that Watchmen trailer that’s going around… looks pretty good. At the very least, there’s nothing in it that turns my stomach as a huge fan of the book. If anyone out there hasn’t read the comic, well, it’s probably the greatest graphic novel ever.

Just got back from this. I agree with you. This movie was absolutely wonderful. Simply beautiful. I think the plot was a little cheesy at points but it’s an all out action flick so any sort of decent plot is gladly accepted.

SHHHH! Don’t give away the answers! Besides, #1 is Oedipus, trick question anyway.

It seems like mostly people from the south are enterting. Must be bored down there. Also more people have entered this contest than any of the others held on this site. Kinda shocking.

Even more shocking are the dumbasses who only answer 1 question or just send their address…which i asked people not to do.

I should use these phone numbers and make some prank calls, “Hey you’ve won our contest! Oh nevermind, the cat ate the prizes.”

If I were around my family I would be proselytizing them about the evils and failures of our current economic and legislative systems and asking them point blank why they aren’t equally disgusted.

I only wish that I could ruin their flag waving, low grade explosives day with that bit of reality.
