Annie Leibovitz may have some ’splaining to do.
I thought this was just a case of hypersensitivity when I first heard about this. But after seeing these pictures side by side, I think the jig might be up.

Thoughts?

I’ve been reading about the reaction about the cover. I, too at first, thought it was very reactionary…Yet, I have to agree that side by side this is shocking. Maybe it’s a crazy coincidence, just like The Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of the Moon…but, even so…..it ain’t a good image to be sending out. Especially, when this is like the fourth African-American person Vogue has EVER had on their cover. Shame on you Annie Leibovitz…shame.

except that Giselle is looking extremely happy whereas the other woman is in distress.
There is nothing to this. People need to stop making such a huge deal out of a coincidence.
If Lebron had stood up straight, he wouldn’t have even fit on the cover

And her boobs aren’t hanging out.
I go back and forth. Leibovitz is known for being inspired by iconic movie imagery, so who knows. All im saying is that if he was wearing a tux on the cover, there would be no hoopla.
